Hire Purchase / Lease Purchase
Both of the above options are a simple repayment facility where you own your vehicle at the end of the agreed term. Repayments can be structured in a flexible way to suit you financial requirements using a initial payment and possibly a balloon payment at the end.
Key Features and Benefits:
With ownership you have complete control over your vehicle
If your vehicle is for business use then the VAT is normally reclaimable
VAT payments can be deferred until 3 months of the agreement, by which time you can have claimed it back. This would only apply to VAT registered businesses
You can decide between fixed or variable interest rates
The vehicle appears on your balance sheets
Finance Lease
This a popular flexible method of funding your vehicle if it is for business use only. A finance lease can offer all the practical benefits of ownership without any of the potential burdens associated with it.
Key Features and Benefits:
When your vehicle is sold you usually receive the lion's share of the sale proceeds
Our flexible repayment structure gives you instant and full use of the vehicle for a minimal outlay of your funds
You decide between fixed or variable interest, making your own assessment and choice accordingly
Rentals can usually be offset against taxable profit
The VAT is paid on the rentals and not the purchase price
The funder, as the owner of the vehicle claims writing down allowances and these are reflected in the rentals you pay
